The North Florida Bicycle Club held the 26th annual Endless Summer Watermelon Ride on Sunday, September 13, 2015 on Amelia Island, Florida.
Cyclists of all speeds rode along the ocean on scenic Amelia Island through historic, tree lined Fernandina Beach and south to the beautiful Talbot Island State Parks and the St. John’s River. This supported ride included snacks, rest stops, post-ride lunch, mechanical support, motorcycle escorts, and roving support teams.
Routes were available at 21, 32, 55, 75 and 100 miles.
Endless Summer Watermelon Ride Tour Book – Slow down and enjoy the ride! Our Ride Director, Jonathan Tomassetti, put together a fun and informative ESWR Tour Book for riders on the 20, 32 and 55 mile routes. Download the PDF to your smart phone and stop along the way to enjoy the history and scenery of Fernandina Beach, Amelia, Big and LittleTalbot and Fort George Islands. Please do not use your phone while riding. Note the mileage cues provided in the tour book at the start of the ride, at rest stops and at the designated scenic points.
