Reddie Point is the peninsula on the south bank of the St John's River north of Jacksonville University. It is one of the most scenic locations on the St John River.
The ride starts at the Arlington Lion's Club Park and then travels east to Monument Road and then Fort Caroline National Memorial where we climb to the Ribault Column which is one of the highest points in Jacksonville. After a short break overlooking the river, the ride returns to Lions Club Park.
To get to the starting point by car, take Exit 46 from I-295. Drive west on Merrill Road toward Jacksonville University. Then north on University Blvd North. When you see Blue Cypress Park on your left, turn left on to Richard Denby Gatlin Park. This road goes south and then bends west. Just after it bends west you will see parking on the left. (The parking straight ahead near the boat ramp is for cars with trailers) . There are public toilets and drinking fountain at the start.
