About this event
We will ride 30 miles at a Social/C pace with several rest stops. A NO DROP Social/C paced ride with attention to cyclists who want to learn to ride with groups. Please check the NFBC Calendar and Forums/Announcements/Last Minute Ride Schedule Changes for ANY changes to the ride start time or cancelations prior to leaving for the ride. At times we may ride faster than the posted speed. If you haven't ridden at this pace or distance you may want to practice on one of the paved bikes trails first. Join us as we bike around the Beaches area.
This ride is the Len Burroughs Beaches Tour (LBBT). FYI - Len was a very special member of the NFBC; a long-time member of the NFBC and a rider of many of our Saturday and Sunday rides over the years. He was a driving force with the Jacksonville BPAC and accomplished many great tasks that will continue making riding in Jacksonville a better experience. If there was a volunteer job for the ESWR or the Tour De Forts, Len probably helped out doing that job over the years. There are so many stories that can be told about riding with Len and doing events with and for the NFBC. It was NEVER boring. Please wear a NFBC jersey (old or new) if you have one, or wear anything that would have made Len laugh. We will ride all of the route that Len rode for years during the Atlantic Coastal Ride.
