Registration is not Required
NFBC members only ride. Non-members may test 3 NFBC rides before joining. You must sign the ride waiver to participate in the ride and to earn club points and mileage. There will be a Safety Briefing Meeting 10 minutes before the start of the ride. Please arrive at the starting point early enough to get set up before the pre-ride meeting. Helmets required on all NFBC rides.
About this event
Celebrate the NFBC miles you cycled and the goals you attained in 2023 by attending the NFBC Awards and Chili Cookoff Picnic on Sunday, March 3, 2023.
Due to impassable construction on McCormick Road, we replaced the Blue Cypress Route with the Sundog Route. Unless you have been a Sundog, you really need a cue-sheet map or GPS map to follow the route and not get lost.
A/B 2024 Award Picnic Sundog route
Before the food is served at 11:30 am, get in some miles for 2024 and build up that appetite. The 36-mile ride goes from the picnic venue at Hanna Park south to Atlantic Beach then up the bridge and west over the intercoastal. Then it goes northwest through East Arlington to Fort Caroline, over some bridges and hills on Wonderwood out to the Mayport Ferry landing and then back to Hanna Park
Hanna Park opens at 8 am. Cars entering the park will need to pay the Hanna Park entrance fee, $5 per car (up to six people) with 50% discount for active-duty military and veterans with military ID or DD214 ID
Please bring a folding chair. If you own an NFBC jersey, please wear it.
Per Hanna Park regulations adult beverages and glass containers are not allowed.
