On behalf of Pedaling for Safety and the North Florida Bicycle Club, Steve Tocknell the NFBC Advocacy Director and Pedaling for Safety Board Member will be making a presentation on the 2021 Florida Bicycle and Pedestrian Safety Bill on Tuesday, November 8 Presentation to the First Coast chapter of the Institute of Transportation Engineers (FCITE)
The Institute of Transportation Engineers is an organization that provides the global community of transportation professionals with the knowledge, practices, skills, and connections to serve the needs of their communities and help shape the future of the profession and transportation in the societal context.
In other words, these are the people responsible for designing roads and other transportation infrastructure in Northeast Florida. Bicycling Traffic Laws in Florida have been changing. We hope that by making these decision-makers aware of the bicycling community, they will design transportation that is more friendly to cyclists.
Steve’s cycling presentation will be made at the regular monthly technical presentation meeting. It will begin at noon on November 8, 2022, at the offices of the North Florida TPO (980 N. Jefferson St, Jacksonville FL 32209)
The group is welcoming local cyclists to attend the meeting.
